Overview of 2800 Sloat Blvd., Ocean Park

After a dozen years of planning, weathering the financial storm of 2008 and neighborhood opposition, the Outer Parkside is gaining 56 new homes on the block of Sloat Blvd. between 46th and 47th Avenues. On the ground floor, there are four commercial spaces for non-formula retail and restaurant businesses. Homes will range in size from one to three bedrooms.

Construction seemed to be coming along nicely and then it was announced that the current development group is trying to sell the project in bulk for approximately $77.888M. The project is currently stalled until sold or restarted.

July 2018: We have information indicating the current owner has elected to finish the development and sell the homes. 

2800 Sloat Blvd. Construction Schedule

Three old buildings were demolished in 2015 to make way for the new development, and completion of the new homes is expected in 2017 or 2018. (The Roberts Motel closed permanently, Aqua Surf Shop moved to Judah @ 44th Avenue, and John’s Ocean Beach Cafe is closed for now but the owners have been offered a space in the new development.)

Pricing for 2800 Sloat Blvd. now known as Ocean Park

Expected to begin in the low $700,000 range. 


Initial plans show the building will have one parking space for each unit as well as additional parking spaces for the retail and restaurant businesses.
