At the corner of New Montgomery and Howard Streets, 199 New Montgomery is a 167-unit condominium development completed in 2005. Located in the midst of the bustling Yerba Buena district of San Francisco, 199 New Montgomery is a 16-story building with commercial space on the ground level and a rooftop deck with barbecue grilling facilities and panoramic views of downtown. A sculpture by well-known artist Albert Paley graces the lobby.
The 167 homes in the development are predominantly studios and one-bedrooms with a small number of two-bedroom condos as well. Square footage ranges from about 392 to 450 for studios, 672 to 1,025 for one-bedroom homes, and about 1,150 for two-bedroom homes.
About half the homes in the building have parking spaces in a shared garage. The building offers bicycle parking for $30 per year and motorcycle parking spaces are available for rent at $50 a month (as of November 2012). There are numerous City Car Share pickup locations within a few blocks of the building.
