Previously home to industrial buildings, the site at 2051 3rd St. will consist of a mid-rise (about 6 stories) building that has 93 residences above ground floor “flex-use” space. In addition, the building will have parking for 74 cars. The lot is mid-block on 3rd St., and it runs from 3rd street on the west to Illinois on the east side.
Construction on the site is currently underway. The building is notable for the number of studios (about 33) and one-bedroom homes (about 22) that make up more than half of the building unit mix. The remainder are two bedroom homes, and there are several three bedroom homes, although we haven’t seen final floor plans or floor plates.
No official announcement has been made regarding availability or pricing for these homes. These may also be offered as rentals and not sold. We also haven’t heard anything else about the flex-space or interested tenants, but given where we are in the construction phase that seems a bit pre-mature.
